True Grit

I love this image. Not because it's pretty, or soft, or even pleasant. But because it's real.


This is my friend Rachel's dad, his name is Pat (but I call him Lou Pat). He had emergency brain surgery last week to remove a mass on his brain. Those are stitches holding together a large incision next to his fingers. Just wanted to show that I can document different types of subjects, not just gorgeous brides.
