Tara and Jason were married at
St. Hedwig Church of Christ the Light of the World and held their reception at The Grand Concourse. This was a lot of fun because I have known Tara for years. We used to work together at Michael Baker Engineering. You know, back when I was working for "the man." (For the record, I will never, ever work for the man again, I love my life!).
Anyway, when Tara got engaged, I prayed that she would choose me to document her wedding because she is fun, sexy and up for anything! Lucky me!
Oh, and have I mentioned that I love my macro lens??

Tara and Jason recited the same prayer that her parents did at their wedding in 1976. She sent me the photograph below so that we could try for a similar shot.

And meet the one and only Father Dennis. He is the most unconventional Father I have ever met, not only was he a blast, but very accommodating. I haven't really ever had an officiant go out of their way for me, but he helped me set up that prayer shot during the ceremony.

Tara and I are good friends with
Eric the DJ, and he played a slideshow of Tara and Jason growing up during the reception. This is the reaction to Jason's hair when he was in high school. It was hysterical! Maybe Eric will send me the hair picture so that I can post it.

The Grand Concourse is a fabulous location to shoot.

I love the light in this image.

The next several images are Tara in action... she is unbelievable.

Wow! I love this stuff!!

I love the series of images below because I like the way that Craig and I worked the scene to get different shots from the same pose.

And something amazing happened at this wedding in terms of an image that I captured... but you'll have to check back in a day or two for that one.
