Francie & John

Francie and John were married at Sacred Heart Parish in Shadyside and held their reception at the Renaissance Hotel downtown.

I LIVE for moments like this. Perfection.

And this. Ha.

Craig captured this last minute hug between the Francie and her mom before walking down the aisle.

I'm not sure what is going on here, but Craig captured it and I love it.

I brought along a new assistant (Michelle) and she grabbed this shot from a distance with her 70-200.

We had the perfect gust of wind to lift her veil. Yeah for long veils!!

He was trying to take off her dress. And it was fun.

But then it got serious. And sexy.

Francie is a dancer, so it seemed natural to ask her to spin. Image by Craig.

I really like the way he dipped her down and placed his arms on her back.

Another one by Michelle, she was loving that zoom!

The flowers were amazing, I have never seen such big, beautiful hydrangea's.

I wrapped her gorgeous ring in the ribbon on her bouquet.

This wedding was filled with love and emotion, but this moment had everyone in tears. John is from Ireland and his parents were unable to make the trip over for the wedding. His brother put together a very nice video presentation of them wishing the newlyweds happiness and love. To say it was moving would be an understatement.

It was joyful, tearful and captivating. And it was difficult for me to see through the viewfinder with my tears getting in the way. But the way it made me feel is almost indescribable. All I can say is, thank you Francie and John for allowing me to document your wedding, my heart is full.

Kristen & Steven

Kristen and Steven were married at Hooverson Heights Church of Christ in Follansbee, WV and held their reception at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton. I was thrilled to have another pink wedding!

These flower girls were so cute, this was their reaction to the ring bearer making it down the aisle.

I've seen this a few times in the past and I think it's a great idea... use ribbon or tulle to block the pews so that guests are seated from the outside. The bridal party are the only persons who walk down the center aisle. This rewards the guests that arrive early, because they are seated from the outside and are able to get the much coveted aisle seat. If guests are seated from the center aisle, the people that arrive first have to move farther out as later arriving guests are seated. Not fair.

What a perfect day, the weather was gorgeous!

Kristen is a dream.

I really enjoyed playing with her veil, AND it was windy, which was lucky. (But remember, I don't believe in luck... it is simply when preparation meets opportunity. Some may say that I am very lucky, but I just think that I am very prepared).

If you know these two, then you know that they are crazy fun. Steven is a riot. I'm not sure what he was doing, but I love the moment.

Kristen is beautiful and graceful.

I asked him to pick her up and have some fun.

And he listens really well, I just adore this shot.

Yes, we were shooting in a cemetery, but it was really picturesque.

I love Hershey Kisses, but I was unfamiliar with this packaging: they are hugs wrapped in pink for breast cancer awareness.

This was during their first dance, but do you see her hair piece? I want one. I NEED one. I wonder if I can find something similar, but with colors? I love to wear funky things in my hair.

Lauren & Andrew

Lauren (Lilly) and Andrew held their ceremony at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in State College and their reception at the Nittany Lion Inn on the gorgeous Pennsylvania State University Campus.

Andy was a little emotional when presenting Lilly with her ring and Craig did a very nice job capturing it.

Husband and wife, so exciting!

Had to include a picture of Andy with his family, his mom Linda is my self-proclaimed biggest fan.

And Lilly is very close with her family as well. Image by Craig.

The girls!

This bride is an absolute rock star! I love it!

Penn State has the most beautiful grounds I've ever seen. I'm not sure why I didn't notice it while I was attending school there (actually, I do know why, but that discussion isn't appropriate right now).

My signature, a very shallow depth of field (f/1.4 on the 50mm f/1.2).

We had so much fun creating this series of images, the middle is my favorite because her feet did not touch the ground all day!

Sexy.

I grabbed this shot of Lilly as we were headed inside for the reception, I just love the way she carries herself.

Loving the beautiful evening light.

Craig and I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with Lilly, Andy and their families, and we cannot thank them enough. We had an amazing time!

4 Day Old Newborn | Pittsburgh Newborn Photographer

I've been so busy the past few weeks that I haven't had the opportunity to post more images from Chyler's newborn session.

Sweet, little baby girl slept the entire time.

David's wife Bridget is not only an amazing woman, but she's also gorgeous! I love moments like this.

David, Bridget, and I have been friends for years, but it is still very flattering when another photographer asks you to shoot for them. Especially something this precious.

I acquired some new knitted items recently, been too busy to knit my own.

Four days old. Can you imagine? A year ago, she did not exist. I love my life.
