Sarah & Mark

Sarah and Mark were married on the beautiful, historic grounds of Old Economy Village in Ambridge and held their reception at Pittsburgh's Grand Hall at the Priory.

Not sure which of these detail shots I like better (above or below), so I included both of them.

I LOVE this shot that Craig took while Sarah's parents were walking her down the aisle.

I have been to Old Economy before, but I could never have imagined how gorgeous this wedding would be. All the different shades of pink just made me smile! How can you not be happy with so much pink?

Love the lines in this image.

The flower girl was so sweet.

It is my responsibility (one which I take very seriously) to bring the best out in my clients, even if they are children. I love children, but the ring bearer didn't want anything to do with me.

Until I asked him why he had orange eyes. LOL

We had so much fun with Mark and Sarah, they were very relaxed.

I think this is probably my favorite image from the day, I could play with it in Photoshop for hours.

We had the most amazing light to work with, it was a dream!

I love shooting the first dance at the Priory because there is typically enough light that I don't need to use a flash. Creates more intimate images.

And this is Bob. I thought I would post a picture of him since I mention him frequently. Love working with this guy, we both dress in black because we are both ninja's. LOL

Introducing the Boudoir Experience

I am so excited about my new boudoir sessions! I think that they compliment my style perfectly, I love sexy, romantic images. Below are a few images from a recent experience, a special thanks to my friend for allowing me to experiment with her session.

Please click here for pricing information. These sessions are not just for brides, but anyone that would like to surprise their husband with a fabulous gift. My good friend, and fellow photographer, Cory Ann shot an intimate session for me a few years ago and Craig loved the album!

Vacation 2008

Had a great time at Deep Creek Lake last week with my parents, brother and kiddos. We rented a lakefront home and some boats. I love this shot Craig took of Ella on the dock at sunset.

Tell me that this baby isn't cute!!

I was dragging my parents along for some fun.

Very Special Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are a great way to earn credit towards services or products. They can be purchased in any denomination and are packaged in the cute little boxes seen below. Photography was very important to one of my brides a few years ago, so she sent this link to her friends and family and ended up with a $700 credit towards an album!

Search feature!

I have always included vendor information with my posts to better assist future brides with their planning. So if you are looking for a wedding at the Carnegie Museum, or my favorite videographer (Bob Steranko - Videosaic), you can now use the search feature to find all of those posts.

Recently, I have started included the color palate and types of flowers in each post as well. Maybe you're trying to decide on what shade of pink (obviously my favorite color) to use for your wedding and you are interested in seeing other pink weddings... now you can search!

Is there any other information that would be useful? I currently collect the following from my brides:

make-up artist
florist
videographer
bakery
entertainment
color theme
types of flowers

On a similar note, if you have ever taken one of my workflow or Photoshop classes, then you know that I am all about efficiency. That is why the search field doesn't have a button to click. Because dragging your mouse and clicking takes time, and I'm not sure about you, but I don't have any time to waste, even if it's just a second. And remember, seconds add up to minutes, then hours, months, etc. Next thing you know, you have wasted a year of your life clicking stupid buttons!!

Anyway, just type your search term and hit enter or return.

Deb & Tim

Had a lovely evening at the Morning Glory Inn with Deb and Tim shooting their anniversary session. Deb's daughter Erin is getting married this August. Tim is an incredibly thoughtful husband, he contacted me about a month ago because he wanted to surprise Deb on their anniversary with a portrait session. Tim not only proposed to Deb at the Morning Glory Inn, but they were married there five years ago as well!

Boudoir

One of the new features of my blog-site are larger images. And what better way to showcase that feature than with a sexy bride! My style has always been romantic and I would like to incorporate more boudoir photography into my portfolio. I shot these of a bride earlier this year just moments before she put on her dress.

We can either take a few shots like these on your wedding day, or you can schedule a boudoir session. More to come soon!

Welcome to my new blog-site!

About a year ago I said to myself... self, wouldn't it be great if the main page of my site went directly to my blog and all of the information contained within the website was now in the blog? Then I would have only have one site for visitors.

The problem was that I had this idea in the middle of wedding season whilst pregnant and I knew that it wouldn't be possible for me to implement until after the baby was born.

So earlier this year I started to draft a project plan (remember, I am an engineer by trade) and began submitting my ideas to developers. I received several quotes in return, but there always seemed to be an issue that had the potential of becoming problematic. For instance, most of them would not work within the framework of my current blog, which meant that I would have to provide a link to my "old blog" thereby negating the point of some of the features that I wanted to implement.

In the end, my wonderful husband, Craig, and I decided that we would code everything ourselves. It seemed like a daunting task, but we both have some coding in our background and are not easily intimidated.

We compiled our tools and were able to design and code everything ourselves. What a victory!! I will be posting in the next few days regarding some of the new features. Of course there are always issues, mostly dealing with that pesky Internet Explorer. Have I mentioned that I despise IE? Firefox is where it's at!

A special thanks to my tireless husband, he is not only really good looking, but brilliant!
