Leigh & Barry
Leigh and Barry were married at Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church and held their reception at Westmoreland Country Club.
Wow, look at Leigh's eyes... stunning.
I love the image above so much that I would like to explain how we set it up. We were taking pictures at the Country Club prior to the ceremony and they had the tables set up outside for cocktail hour. The tables were covered with beautiful ivory linens, that, in this case, doubled as a reflector. I took the image below and then suggested that she turn around a place her head on the table. The light reflected back up into her eyes for a beautiful portrait. Thanks to Craig for help setting it up.
I loved the details of Leigh and Barry's wedding.

There is seldom enough time to shoot at two locations between the ceremony and reception, so Leigh had to make a choice... shoot at the Country Club or a barn. She choose the barn. I love her. LOL
My daughter Ella was looking at this image and remarked, "I know the bride's name is Leigh, but who is her prince?"

This image will make a perfect panaromic spread in an album.

Leigh told me that she loves horses and the ladies at the farm were kind enough to bring a few out for us.

The colors they choose were so fun and vibrant!

I freaked out when I saw this trailer and old wagon.

Leigh also told me that she loves daisies.

Katie & Brian
Katie and Brian were married at Immaculate Conception Parish in Washington, and held their reception at the Doubletree Hotel Pittsburgh Airport.
Katie was such a fabulous bride, I had the best time with her.
Playing with my fisheye lens on my 5D. Fun!
I post this image not because it is an artistic masterpiece, but because I am quite proud of what I was able to accomplish during the formals. Katie and Brian exited the church while the guests blew bubbles, and it took some time to get through the crowd. Once we got back inside, the Father informed me that I had approximately 15 minutes to complete all the formals.
I ended up with 37 poses in 15 minutes. That is 2.5 poses every minute. Can you believe that? It's especially impressive when you consider that each pose involved moving multiple persons. Good thing I work well under pressure!

It was another gorgeous day!

I was in love with the bright colors in Katie and Brian's wedding.

I think I was standing on or near a septic tank while taking this, but it was worth it!
If you follow my blog, then you know that my signature is getting my couples on the ground, the images are relaxed, fun and usually sexy.

This one is for Katie, she said she hired me based on this pose!

Here is another example of the beautiful cakes designed by Creative Cakes. I love their work.

As luck would have it, the sun was setting AND the ballroom was on the west side of the building AND the curtains were left open... so I got flare during the first dance!!! YES!!!
(For the record, I don't really believe in luck. I believe in skill, knowledge and intelligence; which, when combined, will always put you in the right situation at the right time).

Vanessa & Erik
Vanessa and Erik were married, and held their reception, at Shannopin Country Club in Pittsburgh. It was an absolutely glorious day for an outdoor ceremony. Look at that blue sky!

I enjoy outdoor ceremonies because you can really get in close with a long lens to capture moments like this. When Erik first saw Vanessa, he whispered to himself, "wow." I'm not sure if anyone else heard him, but I thought it was a very moving moment.

My good friend and fellow photographer David Burke shot with me and he caught this image while they were saying their vows.

He also caught this one of the ring exchange. I love it because you could never get this in a church.

Gorgeous bride.

We found this beautiful area just on the edge of the light and I was thrilled to see the sun shining through the trees. I love flare!

Same shot, different angle, you know I enjoy working a scene to get different images.

Wow, look at this couple. I love these next two images because I think it captures how relaxed they are and how perfect they are for each other. Their personalities compliment each other wonderfully.

I was just in awe over the blue sky with the white puffy clouds.

And this last one is just for Erik. I really enjoyed spending the day with the two of you, thank you for including me!

I have to also mention Jennifer, Bob and Jeremy... three of my good friends and the most talented and passionate wedding vendors that I know. When Vanessa and Erik gave me their info, I told them they had put together the dream team of vendors... which of course includes me!! LOL

Sara & Brian
Sara and Brian were married at Heinz Chapel on the University of Pittsburgh Campus, and held their reception at Circuit Center & Ballroom.
Sara has the most amazing blue eyes.

I loved this little flower girl. Elsie is 4.5 (the .5 is very important), which is the same age as our daughter Ella.
And here she is with her twin brother, Will, the ring bearer.

Just married!

The bridal party.
I thought the blue was really pretty with the flowers.

These two were made for each other... so relaxed and fun!

Sara told me about this mural in the South Side Works area, I love it!
Craig was experimenting with slow shutter speeds and his zoom, I think it's great!
