Not a wedding couple, but a brother and sister! I spent a day last week documenting their lives and it was a blast!! You can view their slideshow on www.weddingsbyheather.tv.

Their mom, KK, was the surgeon who removed my gall bladder a few months ago. You may remember her because I posted about her in my hospital podcast. I just love her, she's a fabulous mother and physician, she adores her children and is a TON of fun!!


I mean, who has a surgeon that looks like this?? She is gorgeous!

Photoshop Class

I had a fabulous time at my advanced PS class on Saturday. Below is a group shot, I've been receiving a ton of positive feedback, so I'm hoping that everyone learned some useful new techniques.

And congratulations to Christine who got engaged the evening before!! Do you believe it?!?! She got engaged and then spent the entire next day playing in Photoshop. I'll never know how she was able to focus!

ALRIGHT!!

Everybody relax! I'm getting emails because I haven't updated my blog in week... or so... but I've been busy!

Anyway, I've been prepping for my advanced Photoshop course for photographers which is tomorrow at CCBC. I'm really excited, the workbook I've put together is fabulous!!

I've also been busy gearing up for the summer wedding season, which gets into full swing next weekend. Which reminds me, I may be looking for some very part time office help soon. Let me know if you may be interested.

And I thought I would include a few recent images of Ella. She was dressed up for her school pictures the other day... she even got to wear a cap and gown because she will be graduating from preschool! I am so proud of her, she is the sweetest, most well behaved 4 year old that I know. Biased or not!

I told her to work the camera like a supermodel and this is her pose.

Happy Anniversary!

Congratulations to my parents who have been married 41 years.


And after all these years, do you know what they treasure the most? Their wedding photographs. When I really think about the overwhelming responsibility I have for my clients, and how priceless these moments will become, I am moved to tears. I take my responsibility very seriously because I realize how timeless love can be.

Below is one of the few snapshots from their wedding in 1966. They didn't have much money, so they had a friend take pictures for them. I have been slowly working on restoring their photos, and hope to have a nice album for them someday.


Joanne has a great post on this very subject on her blog. Ironically, that image was also taken in 1966.

I LOVE Photoshop!!

I had an amazing time at Photoshop World in Boston, it was a blast! I was in geek heaven. I posted one my favorite quick techniques on www.weddingsbyheather.tv.

I will be teaching a one day intensive Photoshop course for photographers at the Community College of Beaver County on Saturday April 28th from 9:00am - 5:00pm. I absolutely love this stuff, but trust me when I tell you that I'm holding this course because of the numerous requests I've received... not because I need more to do!! LOL

This course is intermediate/advanced and assumes that you have a working knowledge of Photoshop.

Topics will include (but not limited to):
Advanced layer techniques
Layer masking
Actions & shortcuts
Image enhancements
Cropping & resizing
Fixing problematic images
Sharpening and noise reduction
Body sculpting
Special effects

And of course glamour retouching, which includes:
Skin softening
Whitening eyes and teeth
Colorizing hair
Removing the signs of aging
Enhancing eyes

Where applicable, topics will have an emphasis on workflow and efficiency... because that is my style! Work smarter, not harder!

Boston

I'm leaving tomorrow for Photoshop World in Boston and I am so excited!!

I am a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, and I am also an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop... so there is nowhere else I would rather be!

As an avid user of Photoshop, I am really looking forward to learning some new techniques. There are also specific tracks dedicated to Adobe's newly released Lightroom product which I am very interested in exploring.
